Who doesn’t like pizza? Okay, my dad didn’t. He said it tasted like cardboard with sauce. He was a tough Swede. Loved lutefisk. So there’s that.
I, on the other hand, love pizza. Thin crust. Loaded with sausage and pepperoni. Yum.
Today, February 9, is National Pizza Day. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, American’s consume more than 3 billion pizzas each year. The average family eats pizza at home 30 times each year.
Around my house, pizza is more like a once a week food. Hey, my family is above average!
With our nation’s love of pizza, it only seems right that NDFB’s Promotion and Education Committee would “commission” a video that helps people understand where their pizza comes from. This video features farmers and ranchers from around North Dakota all explaining how they raise the raw ingredients for your pizza. Enjoy! Then go make yourself a pizza in honor of National Pizza Day!
